Can't say "yes"? : Ultimately, you may be too nervous to even pick up the phone and speak to me. This is a shame, as by speaking, we can put some considerable doubts to rest. In brief, when we meet, there need not be any expectation. Some clients simply enjoy talking and working through their doubts/histories in the first appointment, and I am more than willing to support you in this regard. I also do massage, and many people see masseurs nowadays. I have no issues with disability or sexual preferences.
The client's self-worth : "You must be desperate". This is not necessarily the case! A client's considered decision to hire an escort can be based on his or her curiosity, enjoyment of paying, need for no-strings-attached sexual outlet, simple discretion, or preference of partner or situation. And if you are in fact unable to obtain a partner, the moral implications of hiring an escort are only those you force upon yourself. There is no shame in paying for any service, other than that you personally attach to it. The reason why people stigmatise escorting, is because of the taboo, nothing more, nothing less.
Disease : Sometimes it is said that escorts and other sex workers are vectors of disease. As with promiscuity, this is not per se correct. Disease is spread by reckless behaviour among those who tend not to know about the symptoms and consequences of STIs. Many escorts such as myself are often a better choice, not only because they know about these things, but because they are regularly tested against diseases
Illegality and Exploitation - a myth from taboo and unaccountable NGOs : The escort industry is often wrongly stereotyped as sleazy, unprofessional and dangerous - largely as a result of neurotic attitudes towards sexuality and (in the past) criminalisation. Whilst the need for such an industry is almost certainly the result of a culture that labels and stigmatises physical intimacies, its effect is largely remedial and not exacerbatory. Others wrongly characterise the trade as exploitative, even though the vast majority of those who work in it have made a rational decision, however much they may or may not enjoy the work. If minumum-wage shelf-stacking and heavy physical work is not exploitative, consensual escorting can not be any worse, and from my perspective at least, it isn't. The image of sex work as exploitative is premised upon broader "sex taboos" and exaggerated characterisations of a small number of foreign women as victims of "slavery". These media-malignant ideas are perpetuated by a number of shady, nongovernmental organisations who care more for their own survival and funding than the economic wellbeing of foreign women. Sex workers have in fact organised to oppose these attempts to speak on their behalf. Some clients may even feel that they are being exploited by the escort. I do not feel that I am abusing clients, nor do I secretly laugh at them. I believe that we are both individuals trying to get somewhere, and we have made a rational decision to come together, based on our respective situations.
